"Jane, the most confident and fearless writer I have had in 27 years, understands that she can bend, break, and make her own rules, especially with an elusive and experimental genre like poetry.

In her work Jane is not trying to emulate a favorite poet, follow an artistic movement, or take on trending topics. She makes keen observations about the hope and despair and contradictions of the human condition and writes instinctively, as a poet should."

Jane O'Connell is a 2026 graduate of Glastonbury High School in Connecticut. She is a student at Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.
