Orenaug Poetry Group
The Orenaug Poetry Group is a chapter of the Connecticut Poetry Society. It covers the towns of Woodbury, Watertown, Southbury, Roxbury, and Bethlehem, all places you can see from the top of Woodbury's Orenaug Mountain. We welcome guests from any town in western Connecticut. Learn more about CPS membership.
Ours is a welcoming group that supports and encourages the writing of each member. Meetings begin with an opening poem and/or meditation and a writing prompt and exercise. Participants can then share work, opting to seek feedback or to simply read.
The group meets the second Saturday of each month in person. Our meeting place often changes, so if you're interested in attending, please email Sandy Carlson.
