Salt in the Seawaters

Salt in the Seawaters

Alone in the woods
sitting with back against a tree
I stare at the sky that looks
like a shy bride

Sunlight moves over leaves
unwrapping each new facet
of a dream

Your memory springs up
like sunrise after
a night of incessant rain

A few years ago
I packed away all your memories
in a sack and threw it into
the ocean waters

Yet
Your memory
is all over my world
like salt in sea waters
invisible and sparking life
